The island is incredibly beautiful and magical, and we did nothing but hike, rest and spend time with the locals. Alex's house has everything you need, very comfortable and understated. « The house on the rock turned out to be a fantastic stay. The location is far enough from everything for total privacy, but close enough to reach the café or the beach in under 3 minutes on foot. The house itself is very clean and spacious, and the outdoor patio is perfect for sunbathing, eating outside and watching the ferries come and go. After staying in several other lovely places on the island, this is definitely our favourite so far and we'll certainly be back. »

« This island is incredible for a peaceful holiday with real character. Alexandre's house is perfectly located (only 105 steps — we counted). Travelling with two kids made that accessibility even more valuable. We went back and forth from the house to the beach, the bar and locals' homes for dinner without thinking about the climb. « Strategic location for someone like me with two young kids. Breathtaking view, just steps from the sea (which is not a given on Alicudi). The house is very clean, equipped with every comfort (new pot, salt, oil, coffee), everything fairly new and tastefully decorated. A great experience, definitely worth repeating. »

« You'll understand the name 'house of the rock' as soon as you arrive — even though it's right by the port, you'll feel like you have the whole island to yourself, because the house sits alone on a rocky outcrop. The house itself is bright and modern, and the incredible terrace feels like it's suspended right above the sea. It was also great to talk to Lucia, who looked after the house and had loads of local tips. »

« This place is just amazing. The house is clean, beautifully furnished and has everything you need. There's a great airflow around the rock. The location is quiet and you hear the waves all day. The beach is close — only five minutes on foot — and so is a bar and the shop. The host is super nice and helps with anything. »

« Alexandre's house is really the most you can find in this still-untouched corner of paradise that is Alicudi: easy to reach and at the same time secluded and surrounded by Mediterranean scrub. From the terrace you get a charming 180-degree sea view. Waking up early to watch the sunrise was unique. Highly recommended. »
